Dr. John Patangan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he received his bachelors degree. He went on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine graduating in 1999. Immediately following dental school, he served as a dental corps officer in the US Navy being stationed in Rota Spain, San Diego, Okinawa Japan and Portsmouth Virginia. While active duty in the Navy he was chosen to pursue Pediatric Dentistry at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. In 2008, he received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.) degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Patangan is currently serving in the US Navy Reserves. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and twin boys. His hobbies include golfing, sailing and hiking.
